Had
a chilled morning before moving to Pariwana hostel and sorting out my bus to
Huaraz to do some more trekking. I'm a little worried that I am not spending
enough time in Lima but then again I'm not a fan of these big cities.

After
some more bread and jam and some strange cereal we made our way to the walking
tour. We took a walk to the metro bus and went into the centre of Lima (took a
while) and when we got there we were told that there is no changing of the
guards today so we decided to bail on the tour as the group was large and we
couldn't hear the guide at all.

We
took a walk around before finding a little restaurant (happens to be one of the
oldest in Lima as it opened in 1920) and it wasn't so small after all with a massive
section in the back. After lunch we made our way back to the hostel where we
checked in and grabbed a drink before having a quick nap.

After
my nap I returned to the bar for another drink before heading into Barraco to
enjoy some nightlife. We took a walk down the main street in the area and found
a chifa restaurant (what they call Chinese food here and they have a huge
Chinese community). We each ordered a meal but man each plate could have fed 2
people at least! There was so much leftover!

We
then took a walk around and found the area with all the bars and restaurants
that we were looking for and then hit the beach. We sat there for a while
before deciding to head back to the hostel to take advantage of happy hour.

We
enjoyed a few more drinks at the hostel before calling it a night when the bar
closed.
