The
day started off slowly as I continued to read my book while Lis caught up on
some sleep. Eventually we decided to get up and had a late breakfast and
chilled at the hostel for a while.

We
got going and took a walk to the Revolution Museum and had a walk around. The
entire museum was very one sided and concentrated on specific of the revolution
and didn’t seem so have an overview of the revolution to give a broad
understanding. Fortunately I remembered some of Che’s biography and was able to
explain to Lis some of the history.

We
then made our way back to the pool where we met many of the other guests in the
hostel. It seems like there are more of us here than hotel guests. We swam for
a while and were then caught in a storm while trying to dry off. We took
shelter near the bar but it was coming in so hard that we were getting wet no
matter where we were. Eventually some of the staff took us through the kitchen
and down the service elevator to the lobby bar. Here we enjoyed some drinks while
waiting for the storm to pass which didn’t take too long.

We
took a walk through the old town and had some dinner and enjoyed some live
music and dancing before making our way back to the hostel. We continued
drinking with fellow guests before going to Fabric de Arte Cultura.

This
was an interesting place as it had art all over, a movie playing upstairs and a
big dance floor downstairs. The place was packed and hot but we managed to stay
and close it and on the way home managed to fit 9 people into a taxi.
