In
Huaraz I grabbed my bag and jumped in a cab and made my way to my hostel where
I checked in and booked my bus to Trujillo and caught up on some WiFi before
having some breakfast.
After
breakfast I decided to grab a nap and before u knew it it was after 1! I got up
and took a walk into town to grab some supplies for the hike tomorrow and also
some lunch. Unfortunately it was raining so I didn't get to see too much of the
town but had a walk through a disappointing Plaza de Armas and on my wonderings
I came across a precession where they were carrying a Jesus statue, a band was
playing and they were all singing. This was definitely a warm up to Easter.
Back
at the hostel I did some research for Colombia and a few more destinations before
making my way back into town to grab dinner at Chilli Heaven. I went for a
kashmir korma with cashews and chicken. How I miss good Indian food! The food
was tasty but for a place called Chilli Heaven you would think they used more
chillies.
After dinner I took a meander back to the hostel
for an early night before going to Laguna 69 tomorrow at 5am.
