I
woke up relatively early and had my leftover bacon with some cheese, eggs and
avo. Such a good way to start the day!

After
chilling for a while at the hostel I made my way to go have a surf (on my own).
Rented my board and wetsuit and set out. I went in next to the pier (where we
had our lessons) but soon drifted across into bigger waves. I managed to catch
a few on a smaller board (more fun but more difficult) but my arms were dead
very soon. After a few waves (and standing on most of them) I called it a
morning and sat on the beach a bit to see if I could see where to go out later.

I
returned the board and wetsuit before heading to get a menu of the day for
lunch. My shoulders are so dead! For lunch I had ocopa (boiled potatoes covered
in a herb sauce... Not that great) and then a lomito saltado which was a little
tough but tasty. At least now I am full and restoring my energy reserves to hit
the waves again this afternoon.

After
lunch I returned to the hostel where I ended up relaxing and not doing much
else. I even gave up on the idea of another surf. In the early evening I was
handed a glass of wine and that marked the course for the rest of the night.
That glass lead to many more and we eventually made our way to a bar in town
which was rather dead so came home at about 3 to call it a night.
