I
woke up feeling a bit better except that my throat was still a little sore but at
least my chest was ok. I lay in bed trying to get some internet before giving
up and going for breakfast. Not much planned for the day but checked out And
got ready to watch some more rugby before having a walk around in the
afternoon.

We
took a walk back up to Recoleta hill to grab something to eat but unfortunately
the menu we wanted had changed so we got a set menu buffet but it was not very
impressive. After lunch we took a walk back down the hill to the hostel where I
found a hammock on the roof top and enjoyed a bit of a nap.

When
I got up I made my way to the TV room to watch a bit of Gladiator before
catching a taxi with Andy to the bus station. Here we exchanged our tickets and
I checked in my luggage (yes, strange experience for a bus trip) and then made
our way to pay the terminal tax before parting ways.

My
bus was comfortable and instead of a conveyor belt in the airport they used a
rope and a hook to lower the luggage to the bus where a guy below unhooked it
and loaded it into the bus. Once the bus was ready to go I got chatting to an
old man next to me with my limited Spanish so it ended up being a rather short
conversation. There are still so many things that I don't understand but just
need to keep practicing.

I
managed to get some sleep but kept waking every now and then. We stopped in a
small town about half way at 3am for a food and toilet break. All the men just
scattered to find a wall or pole while the ladies queued for the only toilet.

After
a few minutes we got going again and I got some more sleep. During the night
there was a full moon which allowed me to see some of the landscapes which
looked pretty but I couldn't really make that much out.
