I
didn't sleep very well and kept waking up scratching but I did manage to sleep
through yoga class again (guess it's just not meant to be) and eventually got
up after a few chats with people back home. I packed my bag and checked out
before finding a comfy spot to do some more reading.

After
a while my worms got the better of me so I went to get some lunch. While eating
I followed the Stormers vs Rebels commentary on my phone (the things we do to
follow sport). I then headed towards the hammocks at the bird viewing platform
but it was rather windy and it started spitting with rain so I returned to the
table outside my room to continue reading and follow the game. Eventually a
hammock opened up and I jumped in. This time I didn't even try to read and had
a few naps before waking up and enjoying the view and chatting with a few other
guests.

I
eventually got up to charge all my devices and made my way to the restaurant
where I did some blogging and picture sorting only to realise that I have a few
photos of the day missing. Not sure how that works but I'm tracking them down.
After a while I packed all my electronics up and got ready for dinner where a
bunch of people that I had met over the past few days joined me and we had
dinner together.

I
cut it a little fine and only ordered the taxi a few minutes before I needed to
be on the bus. The taxi didn't help by trying to reverse down the narrow
driveway and having to reset a few times. On the way down the hill there were a
few dogs running around in the dark road and we were unable to avoid one of
them. It's really sad but I must say I am surprised that it doesn't happen more
often. Afterwards the taxi driver started driving much slower the rest of the
way and I got to the bus station a few minutes after it was supposed to leave
but fortunately it was still there. I stood around for a while before the
driver appeared and I put my bag on the bus before getting in myself.

The
ride was not to bad with me even getting a little sleep in between the drivers
accelerate, brake, accelerate, brake, etc. I arrived in Loja terminal and had
an hour to kill before my bus so grabbed some free internet and tried to find a
way to kill time. With about 30 min until my bus I made my way to the platform
but this time I was prepared for the 10c exit fee and had change. I sat there
for a while hoping I had the correct platform but at least I could see all the
platforms so would find out soon enough. Nope, not the right platform but at
least the bus came early so I spotted it with enough time to spare and had to
change platforms.

When
we boarded the bus our carry-on bags were checked (very badly) and then I was
told not to put my bag up top but to keep it at my feet. I assume this is for
my safety more than anything else.

On
the bus I got comfortable and watched a movie before trying to get some sleep.
I didn't sleep very well but did manage to get a few hours here and there on
the way to Guayaquil.
