What
a good sleep! I woke up at 10 without stirring at all! I did miss breakfast and
the morning yoga but that's all good. I enjoyed the sleep in. When I woke I
finally had some WiFi so I lay in bed and caught up on all the missed
conversations.

When
I eventually got up I had a nice hot shower before taking a walk around the
hostel to check out the pool, yoga area, bar by day and bird watching area. I
then settled in the restaurant and had some lunch and tried to research how to
get to Ayampe from here without much success. Eventually I decided to use other
resources available to me and asked the lady at reception who suggested that I
get a night bus to Guayaquil and then another bus from there.

After
a little more time in the hostel I took a walk down the hill to Vilcabamba town
to have a look around and to sort out a bus ticket. There is only one robot in town and the
ticket place is a few doors away from it but unfortunately it was closed. I
kept walking around a little bit and within seconds I had seen the whole place
and I was trying to kill some time in the hope that the bus ticket place would
open again.

Unfortunately
it was still closed so I got a cab back up the hill to the hostel where I made
my way to the bird watching deck to enjoy some reading time in a hammock. I
managed to read a little before I caught a quick nap and was woken by a kitty
jumping into my lap. I was a little cold so I got up and moved to another
hammock to read some more before making my way to the restaurant for dinner.

After
dinner I want back down to the bar with my book to sit in a hammock. I must
admit it was strange to sit at the bar waiting for it to open. Fortunately I
had a beer from dinner.

Once
the bar opened not much changed. I continued to sit in the hammock and read. I
did this for a few hours and beers before calling it a night and heading to
bed.
