We were up early to catch the taxi to Playa Giron. As we were planning to go diving I borrows Liz’s PADI book to get some understanding of what I was getting myself into. After the PADI book I started a new novel “Worth Dying For” and read most of the way. Along the way we stopped a few times to enjoy the clear blue seas next to us.

In Playa Giron we found a Casa for the 3 of us and immediately made our way to the beach. We took a walk from the casa through a party and a large pool area next to the beach. The first beach was a little disappointing and had a large wall about 20m from the shore. We kept walking and found another beach where we dropped our things and jumped into the water.

We found the shade of a few coconut trees and enjoyed a cocktail. From here we enjoyed our surrounds and watched the locals enjoy the beach. Some arrived in a donkey cart with their music playing and others took their lilo into the water with their umbrella to enjoy some shade. After a while we had a nap in the shade before returning to the casa.

We went to dinner at a place across the road from the casa where I had some spicy crab which wasn’t very spicy but at least it as tasty. From dinner we returned to the casa for some more reading and an early night before going diving tomorrow.
