I took a slow start to the day to get my laundry done and play with some photos while waiting. Eventually I made my way to Brooklyn for a walk around at midday and to find some lunch. I went to one of Zina's recommended places called Yemen Cafe for some lamb haneeth. Wow, I miss these strong flavours. That was awesome and highly recommended! Now to try and walk and get a feel for this area.

I walked around and enjoyed the architecture and leafless trees. There were plenty of churches and old buildings dotted around and I eventually made my way to the water’s edge where I enjoyed a view of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. I took a walk along the promenade before finding a bar for a much needed restroom break...and a beer. Here I chatted to Kathleen about clean energy and Eskom's problems before making my way back to the promenade to enjoy the sunset.

Unfortunately there was a large bank of cloud in the way so I didn't get the greatest view so I headed back to the hostel to get ready for a night on Broadway. I met up with Zina to watch the Book of Mormon which was brilliant. Lots of fun and plenty of humour. I also bought the most expensive drink of my life 30 USD!

After the show we made our way to Toto Ramen noodle bar for some spicy noodles before we called it a night and parted ways until we meet up somewhere in the world.
