The day got off to a later start than I planned but at least I got to sleep in a bit. I took a walk along the water from the hostel to the east river ferry and enjoyed the Manhattan skyline. On the ferry I met Bianca, a Scottish girl, and she joined me for a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge. On the ferry we passed under the Hudsucker, Manhatten and Brooklyn bridges before getting our walk underway.

The walk went a lot quicker than I expected and we got some great views of the city and the bridge. From here we enjoyed some break dancing outside city hall where I joined the show (no, I didn't dance). We kept walking to the 9/11 memorial and on to the charging bull before boarding the Statton Island ferry to have a look at the Statue of Liberty.

We didn't get as close as we would have liked but we did get a nice view of it. Once we got onto Statton Island we jumped onto the first ferry back to Manhatten and made our way to the Flatiron building. Here we parted ways and I continued walking down 5th Ave past the empire state building and grabbed some lunch before heading back to the hostel.

I was planning to go out but I ended up having a few drinks at the hostel with Anna and making our way to the BBQ restaurant around the corner for dinner and returning to the hostel for an early night.
