It's
the first day in the new job and it started off with a tour of my new
environment. The construction has just started and there is so much to do. I
have a private room and bathroom and my fellow team all seem like we will get
along and have a lot of fun.

When
I got up I met Chris (Kim's partner) and he explained what they trying to do
with the place. It sounds awesome but I don't plan to be here to see the
finished product.

My
work started by converting a bunk bed into a sun bed. This basically just
involved moving the wooden frame so it didn't hurt your legs when you sit on
it. It took much longer than expected as I had to look for tools and find
Spanish words for certain things.

After
a few hours we went for lunch which was the typical soup and chicharrĂ³n (fried
fish squares) and some ice cream. After lunch we headed back to the
construction site where I continued to play with my wood for a bit before
returning to the beer. U say returning as I may have had coffee for breakfast
but beer didn't follow long after.

In
the afternoon we took a walk to Kim and Chris's place where we watched the kids
(who they teach English) while they swam and we drank wine. From here we made
our way to a place that is only open on Mondays and he only serves hamburgers
and fajitas. It was really tasty and a few more beers didn't damage the taste
at all. We then took a walk back to the hostel with a few dogs following us
before calling it a night.
