After
a late night we (Tina, Claire, Dom and I) were up by 9 and in the pool for some
beer. We spent the rest of the morning here before making our way to the bus at
11:30 for the pisco and wine tour.

Peruvian
wine is made differently to other wines. They actually just add pisco to grape
juice so they tend to be very sweet.

After
the tour we returned to Huacachina and grabbed some lunch alongside the oasis
before returning to the pool to chill before going on the dune buggy and
sandboarding tour. We got into the buggy and set off to the dunes. The driver started out cautiously and then
put his foot down and we were quickly jumping over dunes, getting airborne and
even pulling power slides! After a bit of fun and a viewing point we pulled up
to try out sandboarding.

We
took it easy for the first run and went on our stomachs but then tried to stand
up. This was a little more difficult as the boards were old and not very good
which meant my feet kept coming out the straps. I did manage to get a good run
though. We then went to another set of dunes before jumping back in the buggy
to enjoy the sunset. We caught the last of it as the sky was turning all sorts
of oranges, pinks and reds.

After
the sun set we made our way back to the Oasis. Fortunately this time we got the
front seats and the driver wanted to earn a tip! What an awesome experience!

At
the hostel we grabbed our bags and made our way to the bus (sand and all). The
bus was a nice quick one of just over an hour. We jumped off put out bags down
and headed to grab some dinner and drinks at misti bar where we met up with
some people we met in previous hostels.

After
dinner we went back to the bar at their hostel for a few more before calling it
a night.
