We
woke up early to pack our bags and catch the bus to Pucon. The bus was very
empty with only about 8 people on it so we sat up front to enjoy more leg room.
It was probably one of the better busses that I have been on but the wifi and
free drinks are still eluding me…

The
border crossing took ages as they emptied our bus and the bus in front so the
dogs could sniff our bags. Chile is really strict on food coming into their
country so a few bags got pulled out (including mine) so they could open the
and check what is inside. When they opened mine the guy was asking about my
medical kit with his non English and my broken Spanish and actions I explained
what some of the things were for and he let me go on my way…

The
views from the bus were amazing until we hit the clouds and couldn’t see much
but as we cae down on the Chilean side it cleared up and we could appreciate
them a bit more.

In
the bus e managed to catch up on some sleep and before we knew it we were
almost in Pucon (after stopping at random places to give people lifts). In
Pucon we took an easy walk to the hostel where we had only booked for one night
but unfortunately couldn’t stay longer as they were fully booked.

After
settling in we got some wine and went to join the other people outside only for
a loud “Dos Pacos” to be shouted when Rebecca walked in. It was a group of American
guys that she had met on the O and given her the nickname. We then carried on
drinking meeting many new people and great conversation.
