As planned, we woke up to enjoy the sunrise over the falls.
What a spectacular sight! We capped this with a beer before making our way down
to breakfast where we enjoyed another hot breakfast before making our way into
the park to explore the Argentinean side of the falls.

We took a train to the walkway which takes you to Devil’s
Throat. This walkway was only recently reopened as it was completely washed
away in July when they had some floods and you can still see the bent pieces of
metal from the old walkway (I assume they will remove these when the water
level is lower. From the lookout point you look down into Devil’s Throat and
down the Iguazu River and yes, these were some more spectacular views. Again,
my words and pictures cannot do this place justice.

After catching the train back we took a walk back to the
hotel and once in the air conditioning we couldn’t move. We had a nap in the
room before showering and packing up to check out and make our way to the bus
station for a much anticipated bus trip to Buenos Aries.

We have both heard some amazing things about the busses in
Argentina so were looking forward to experiencing it for ourselves. The taxi
was a little late but fortunately we got to the bus station just in time and we
took our seats.

The bus was not what we expected and we were both a little
disappointed. The Wifi, food and drinks were nowhere to be seen. Fortunately
the seat could recline partially and were comfortable but that was about it.
The bathroom left me feeling very grateful that I don’t have to sit to use it.
In addition to that there is a TV right in front of us that only has one
speaker and its above where we are sitting. Eventually it went off at about
midnight by which stage we had managed to jump out at a stop and get 4 beers
which helped us sleep.

The lesson to learn from this is to do more research before
booking as we just stopped in Posadas where there was a company advertising the
kind of bus we were expecting...

During the night we went through a massive storm with both
Damien and I waking up and just being in awe of all the lightning that was
flashing in the clouds. I have never seen so much lightning in my life. It was
as if there was a strobe light going. Then came the rain and boy did it rain.
Damien was sitting next to the window and he couldn’t even see the road it was
so heavy. After enjoying the storm we got back to sleep only for the TV to come
back on at 7. A fw hours later they served us breakfast which was made up of a
few biscuits, jam and powdered milk (we assume that this was for coffee but
that never arrived).
