We had another easy morning today making a bit of a dood
gooi with some leftovers for breakfast.

We then checked out and made our way into town (5 min walk)
to wait for our transfer (yes, with Easy Transfers) to Paraty. There wasn’t much
to do while waiting in the heat so we decided a few beers would go down well
(as always).

After a few refreshing cold ones and booking ou bus from Iguazu to Buenos Aries we jumped
on the boat and the rest of the trip was rather uneventful. We were actually in
a bus this time so no bags on the roof of tuk tucking up the hill. We did
encounter a massive downpour on the way. It didn’t last long but would
definitely have soaked you in a second.

The bus couldn’t take us all the way to our hostel as we are
staying in the historic centre where no cars are allowed. After a little walk
with the guy from the transfer (Rogerio) and a little bit of a history lesson
we made it to the hostel.

After a few more beers, finding out what tours are available
and realising that we had booked the bus to Buenos Aires a day early we headed
down the stone streets and found a place called Sarau where we had some good
food, beer and awesome live music. After many beers and finally switching to
Cuba Libres we closed the place. The waitress had given us directions to a bar
where we could get another drink and meet some locals. We took a walk down the
stone streets out of the historical centre following the directions exactly but
we didn’t manage to find the place but we did manage to find a place where we
got a few beers for the walk home.

On the walk home we found another little bar (basically next
door to where we were for dinner) where we decided to get some whiskey. Damien
then ordered us a double Johnny Gold. I am not a big fan of Johnny, but that
was very good. With them wanting to close we get another single for the road
and convinced them to give us the glasses as they wanted to put it in plastic
cups. We then found a bench in the square facing the bar and sat there drinking
the Johnny Gold out our glasses. After finishing our whisky and returning the
glasses (the staff was now all going home) we made our way back to the hostel
with beer in hand.
