After the big night we took a slow day and planned the rest
of the trip, but it wasn’t as easy as it sounds.

First there were no more busses to Sao Paolo so we had to
get a bus back to Rio and then get a flight from there to Iguazu. We wanted to
get to Iguazu around midday so we could do some sightseeing on the Brazilian
side of the falls before making it into Argentina early on Christmas morning.
In order to do this we had to catch the only direct flight at 10am and to do
that we had to catch an early bus from Paraty to Rio. We decided to catch the
2am bus to get to Rio at 7am and then cab it to the airport for the 10am
flight.

We then booked our accommodation in Iguazu, Christmas eve on
the Brazil side and Christmas night on the Argentina side (hoping that the
border and the park was open on Christmas day). We also managed to change the
bus tickets to leave Iguazu on the 26th instead of 25th
and even booked our accommodation in Buenos Aires. The poor credit card!

After sorting out the rest of the trip we enjoyed a few
games of pool at the hostel before walking into town and booking a 4x4 trip for
the next day and then went to the bus station to buy our tickets to Rio...glad
thats now over. On the walk we also tasted some local street food of a hot dog
and a mince pastel which were both very impressive!

We then made our way back into the old town to our local
(Sarau) for some music, dinner and more beer. We chatted to the waitresses
(Flor & Lucia who were both from Argentina) about where we could go after
dinner and they suggested the same place as the night before but gave us some
slightly different directions this time. They also introduced us to Cachaca
Gabriella which was a Cachaca that was only made in Paraty and had cinnamon and
clove flavours added to it.

After closing the restaurant we were told that one of the
bars is having a Forro party and we followed the band members to the party. We
stayed for a while watching the locals take over the street with their dancing
and then took our drinks and continued to look for this illusive bar. After
wandering the street for a while we decided to call it a night and made our way
back to the hostel.
