I
was up early for breakfast so I could make my Spanish lesson on time. It was an
easy class and we just practiced speaking and trying to improve my vocabulary.

After
my lesson I met up with Sandra and Michelle and we made our way to the market
for a enu del dia lunch. As we walked through the market looking to find a
place all the ladies kept trying to pull us into their store. Eventually we
gave in and took a seat. I had a soup (not sure what was in it but it was
tasty) and a pollo Milanese which was also really good. I love how good and
cheap these meals are!

After
lunch we took a walk to Recoleta, the park and then the cemetery (I had to burn
off all that food!). Outside the cemetery we say a large dinosaur on the side
of the road so we took a walk to get a closer look only to find that it was
actually a phone booth…interesting. On the way back to the hostel we grabbed a
beer and sat in another square enjoying it and wondering if we were allowed to
drink in the streets here. Guess we would find out soon enough.

Back
at the hostel I walked into my dorm room only to find a familiar face standing
there looking back at me. It was Andy. We went down to the bar for a few drinks
before Michelle joined us with a few half bottles of whisky that she found in
her room. We then went to Sandra’s hostel to fetch her, grab some coke and head
to the park. We sat in the park drinking and just after we finished the bottles
and hid them a policeman arrived and told us we cant drink alcohol here, but we
weren’t so all was ok.

On
the way back to the hostel we stopped in at an Irish pub for a few more drinks
before walking Sandra home and making our way back to our hostel to call it a
night.
