I woke up to some noisy dorm mates before deciding to make my way to Caye Caulker. I caught up on some internet and packed my bag before taking a walk to the ferry. As I arrived on Caye Caulker I felt like I was home. I wish it was cheaper and I had longer. The road is made with compressed sand and lined with coconut trees and feels like paradise. I grabbed a beer and something to eat while I waited for my room.

Once I had my room I made some friends and joined them at the split for some swimming and chilling in the sun. I swam across a small channel to the next island and even managed to jump out of another tree before returning for more beer and sunshine.

In the afternoon we made our way to play some volleyball which killed my legs, never mind the grazed knee! It was great fun though! After the game I returned to the hostel for a much needed shower and a nap before meeting up with Janine and Irina for dinner.

We were joined at dinner by another girl from my dorm and enjoyed some good conversation and some not so good food, but then you win some and you lose some. We made our way to the hostel where I went to the bar to enjoy the rum night.

Here I met up with some people I had met during the day and a few I knew from Bacalar. From the hostel we made our way to the only places open and followed the crowds to a few others before calling it a night.
