During the day yesterday I arranged with Florian, Krista and
Tai (from the hostel in Buenos Aires) to go to the national park for the day
and do some hiking.

I made my way down to the bus station, met Florian and then
we caught the bus into the park where we waited for Krista and Tai. While
waiting we met some fellow South Africans who went ahead of us and we arranged
to meet at Dublin (the only pub in town) later.

The wait was not so difficult with the scenery and views we
had. After a while the girls arrived and we started our hike along the Beagle
Channel.

At the end of the walk we then made our way to Lago Roca
where we looked across the lake to Chile. We then continued walking to Lago
Negro and ultimately to the bus stop to return to town.

The whole hike was awesome with constant changes in scenery
under the backdrop of the snow capped peaks while walking alongside the ocean
and rivers. All the walking did take its toll as I managed to rip my pants and
with my limited sewing skills there was no way that I would be able to repair
them.

After
cooking some dinner I made my way to the pub with Michael & Tudor to meet
Chez and Rowan (who we caught as they were leaving and convinced them to stay a
little longer). Here we had a few beers and enjoyed the craik of an Irish pub
at the end of the world.
