We woke relatively early to have some breakfast and pack our
bags before heading to the airport. At the airport we were in separate terminals
but after checking in we met up for one last farewell beer. IT was a great trip
together and was awesome to catch up again and I hope I have managed to
convince him to join me again sooner than he expected.

I then made my way back to Terminal C to catch my flight to
Ushuaia. It was a pretty uneventful flight and I managed to catch up on some
sleep. As we descended into Ushuaia and broke through the clouds I could see
the snow capped peaks with the city nestled next to the ocean. It was such a
contrast to everything I have seen so far in landscape and temperature. I
quickly grabbed my jacket that I had been coursing all trip and was grateful
that I hadn’t chucked it yet.

I caught a cab to the hostel checked in and made my way into
town. It was now about 6pm but it felt like 3pm as it was still bright. Being
so far south the sun only sets here at 11 and rises at 4 so creates lots of
confusion!

After walking around for a few hours and getting to a
supermarket I returned to the hostel ready to cook some dinner only to find out
that they were planning an asado for the night and how could I resist that. After
meeting some people and practicing some Spanish we enjoyed another awesome
asado with a few beers before calling it a night.
