After a very buy day and late night we had a lazy morning and late breakfast before we headed to the bus station to plan our next trip. Unfortunately they were closed for lunch so we returned to the casa for some more aircon.

Once we sorted the bus tickets we tried to catch a bus to the beach but it took ages to arrive so we just grabbed a cab instead. We decided to go to a beach called Ancon. It was a long thin beach with clear blue water and a few restaurants right next to it. We managed to find a spot under an umbrella and then went for a swim and enjoyed a few beers.

After enjoying the beach for a few hours and Liz catching another few winks a storm looked like it was threatening so we decided it would be a good time to leave. We saw some tourists getting into their car and we asked for a lift. They were two Italian guys and were happy to help us get back to the old town.

We walked through the old town from where they dropped us and found the gelato shop where we grabbed a snack for the walk back to the casa. At the casa we showered and enjoyed the aircon while we chilled before we headed out for dinner. We went to a place called La Cieba where I had prawns in honey, lemon and rum. It was very tasty but had small portions.

We decided to have an early night so headed back to the casa where I enjoyed some whisky and a cigar while Liz read. Sitting on the stairs to the street drinking and smoking really made me feel like a local and was even invited by a few locals to join them for a rum. Once the cigar was finished I headed into the room where I read a little more before calling it a night.
