My early waking body clock seems to be back with it waking
me a little later than usual at 8:30. I had some more dolce de leche and bread
for breakfast before making my around town to find out about tours to go
trekking on the glacier and getting busses to Bariloche.

After getting all my info together I settled at Mathilda’s
(apparently the best internet in town) to catch up on some admin and blogging.
Here I enjoyed some coffee, lunch and fruit jouce while catching up on the past
few days and enjoying all the memories of the W.

Tai and Krista joined me here where we started chatting and
just catching up over coffee and cake. We then made our way to La Chocolateria.
As you walk in all you see is old rock climbing gear hanging on the wooden
walls. Here we enjoyed some more local artisanal beer and wine with more
conversations about Canada, Belarus and South Africa.

We eventually left to go grab a much deserved helado. I need
to get out of this town as this habit is getting the better of me...We sat
outside watching the world pass by while we enjoyed our helado and more great
conversation. We decided to go for a sunset hike with some empanadas and wine
to Los Condores so we went back to our hostels and met at 9pm to get our
goodies and go hiking.

The hike was uphill but a nice short one which provided some
great views of the city and the peaks in the background. Once at the top we
opened our wine and enjoyed our dinner on the rock with a great view and even
more great conversation about life and travels. At about 11pm we decided we
should make our way down before it got too dark.

As we entered town we decided to grab another bottle of wine
and enjoy it with some more great conversation under the stars. It was so great
having stimulating conversations about life, religion, politics and fracking
(after all Tai and Krista are hydro geologists so who better to talk to about
it).

Eventually
we called it a night at 2am as they had to catch a bus and flight to Bariloche
at 8 and still needed to pack but fortunately I had another chilled and admin
day planned...
