The day started nice and slow with my body clock waking me
at 8:30. I packed my bag for a day of typing and admin and headed down the road
to get going.

I stopped in at a tour agency and booked a tour for Rebecca
and I to go trekking on Glacier Viedma on Friday and then went a little further
down the road to book our bus tickets to Bariloche and got some restaurant tips
from the ladies at the bus ticket office.

I then went to my local (Mathildas) to finish catching up on
my blog and check in on my budget. It was great to continue looking back at the
experiences over the past few days and it keeps reminding me of how fortunate I
am to be able to have this adventure.

After catching up on my blogging I turned to the budget
which was the scary part. After tallying everything up I was pleasantly
surprised that I was not as far over budget as I thought. With this relief I
decided to enjoy the rest of the day in the hammock outside and watch the world
go by.

Patagonia has a number of microbreweries and craft beers so
I took the opportunity to try a few. Of the 6 I tried there was only 1 I didn’t
like and couldn’t finish (yes, I couldn’t finish). At about 8pm I decided I
should settle the bill and return to the hostel to sort out dinner. When I went
to the counter to settle the bill the lady looked at me with surprise as she
was the one that served me in the morning and her shift had ended and she was
now back for her second shift and I was still there! We just laughed and I paid
and left.

At the hostel I put my stuff down and decided to make my way
to Estepa (the restaurant that the girls at the bus ticket office advised me to
go to) and as I was walking out of the hostel I bumped into Wil and his friend
Ryan who were on the way to return some camping gear.

We decided to go to dinner together and made our way to
Estepa and had a look at the menu which was a little more expensive than
planned but decided to try anyway. I had the lamb (as was recommended) and it
was definitely the best lamb I had had but still rather pricey.

After dinner I introduced Wil to helado and after waiting in
a long queue he eventually had his first taste. He did say that he thinks the
one he had in Santiago was better so I guess I will need to get those details
from him to check.
