We were up early and grabbed a cab to get to the end of the peninsula where we found a coffee shop for some breakfast. From the coffee shop we took a walk to the beach and settled on some beach chairs. Here we enjoyed the beautifully blue waters and the loungers even though some of the other people tried to get us kicked out for not being part of that hotel. We managed to talk our way out of it and enjoyed the loungers for the rest of the morning.

We then returned to the casa by hitching a ride with a friendly truck driver. Here we had a shower and headed to the bus station which was packed. We had our tickets so managed to board and get going. We chatted most of the way and were there in no time.

At the casa we settled in and went to go get some food but stopped for some ice-cream along the way. We finally managed to get our convertible for a trip around the city. I decided to let Liz decide which car to pick and she picked a candy pink convertible Pontiac. It wasn’t my first choice but it was fun!

We drove around Havana and saw a few new sights while enjoying a cigar and beer. The drive was made more interesting by the fact that we had to jump start the car a few times. At one point we got the driver to open the bonnet where we saw the engine and the oil cap was actually a crushed Coke can.

After the drive we returned to the casa for some rest before heading out to Fabrica de Arte for some salsa. We were a little early so had some drinks and a cigar. There was some live music but unfortunately there was no salsa. It wasn’t the greatest music so headed back to the casa early. On the drive we drove along the malicon we noticed people sitting on the wall with their bottles of rum.

Back at the casa we read a little before calling it a night.
