I
woke up dreaming about my bus that I had missed somehow and that I was trying
to sort out another way to get to Salta and was really pissed off that I missed
my fancy bus! Fortunately it was only at 8pm so I still have plenty of time to
get there and catch it.
I
got up and went to do cambio with Tai before collecting my laundry and packing
my bag (just making sure I make the bus). Cheryl and Rowan met up at our hostel
and we took a walk to Anna Bistro where we had an awesome lunch in the garden
as Tai and Krista will be going home soon. We then went walking in search of
wine ice cream (Vino helado) for desert but couldn't find any so Cheryl and
Rowan went to get taxi to get to airport and go to Salta and we returned to our
hostel. On the way we managed to find some Vino helado just around the corner
which was so yummy! I had passion fruit and sav blanc.
At
the hostel I sat around and chatted with Tai while Krista had a siesta before
saying our goodbyes or rather till we see u again and made my way by taxi to
the bus terminal.
I
was excited when I saw my bus pull up and went to put my bag in the hold and
got on board. The seats were great and go down flat and each seat has its own
little area separated by curtains. Unfortunately I still have a speaker above
my head and TV in front of me... This could get interesting. I also still have
no WiFi yet. The bus had a game of bingo and the winner got a bottle of wine...
Good way to practice my numbers in Spanish.
I
had some dinner where we got a nice tray and silver wear before getting a plate
of mini quiche, rolls, ham, cheese n some strange coffee jelly thing... And
some wine. They then gave us a hot plate with some steak and chips and veg...
And a little more wine.
After
dinner I asked about the WiFi but it wasn't working... Hmm, so I asked for more
wine or beer and was offered champagne... Obviously there was only one answer I
could give to that... I did try and get a refill but the stewardess was nowhere
to be found... So sat n read instead.
After
a while (and when the movie finished) I
put my seat back further and further and flat, but unfortunately I had to let
my feet hang as the chair wasn't long enough for me to put them up as well.
People in this part of the world are rather short. I managed to get some sleep
but did wake up a few times to change position and see if anything interesting
was happening outside the window.
