I
woke up with the sunrise (which is fortunately much later as I am more North)
and noticed that the landscape was much the same (flat with mountains in the
distance) but the vegetation was very different. Everything was very green and
dense. On the few hills that were around I noticed some trees but otherwise it
was mainly low bushes.

I
managed to get back to sleep but was woken a little later for breakfast which
was tea, an alfajor and biscuits. After a while and a stop the movies started
again and the wheels kept turning.

I
think my feet don't like the busses - they get very swollen after and during
the trip...Yes, Cankles!

The
closer we got to Salta the more trees u noticed. The bus arrived and I did a
quick recon to find out what busses run to Jujuy and San Pedro. I then grabbed
a cab to my hostel where I had a shower and found out about some tours they
offered.

I
then went back to the bus terminal and booked my bus to San Pedro and decided
to skip Jujuy. Back at the hostel I booked tours to Humhuaca and Cafayate
(unfortunately the train to the clouds wasn't running till April so had to give
that a skip). I kept sat open to find somewhere to watch some rugby.

After all that planning it was time for a beer
before I signed up for empanada evening at the hostel (well, sister hostel a
few blocks away). I went to make my bed and while putting my pillow into the
pillow cases I was shaking it and the pillow just fell out the other side...
Things are a little different here.

At the empanada evening I met some locals from
BA and had some more beers before tucking into the food. After dinner I had a
few more drinks before returning to my hostel.
