I started the day by calling friends and family back home but I think some of the are still in a food coma as plenty didn't answer. It was good to chat with everyone but it did make me miss home more and all my people.

After Kristina spoke to her family in Poland we made our way to do some sightseeing. We started by going up a hill with a massive Mexican flag. It also had the house of the first bishop in this area. The views this spot provided of the city were great. We then took a drive into downtown which was extremely quiet. There we walked around some cobbled roads looking at the buildings and enjoying the quietness of it all. The quietness did get frustrating when we started to look for food. Nothing was open around here so we made our way to another area where after a bit we found taquitos. So we pulled in and enjoyed some taquitos before making our way to go up the mountain. Fortunately we could drive most of the way but then took a walk. As the sun was already behind the mountain the air was a little cold so we didn't walk for long but we did enjoy some good views of the city below and the nature around us.

We made our way back to Olivier's parents house where we relaxed a bit and even had a nap before having dinner and awaiting Olivier's friends. They all arrived and we got to know each other and fortunately all of them spoke good English so I didn't really test my Spanish skills. Every now and then the conversation changed into Spanish and I got lost. The slang they use and speed at witch they speak just confuses me but it's good cus every now and then I catch a few words which helps me follow the conversation and improve but I definitely need to make more of an effort. They all left at about 2 when Olivier and I cleaned up a little before calling it a night as I had to be up early for my flight.
