I
woke up at about 9 and showered and made my way down to breakfast and finally
picked up some WiFi. I replied to a few whatsapp messages before opening my
email and saw the results email. Before opening it I hesitated for a while and
when I finally opened it I reread it about 10 times before grinning like a kid
and my eyes even welled up with excitement and relief. I can't describe the
feeling of happiness, relief , joy and freedom that I was feeling at this
moment... It was just phenomenal! I couldn't even eat... I let people back home
know the result and had skype with ven who was equally excited for me.

Once
I had calmed down a little I went walking around looking for gopro to replace
my camera but all the shops were closed. I got back to the hostel and had some
lunch and tried to update blog but the internet was too slow to do anything. I
started chatting to a guy from Buenos Aires in broken Spanish and English but
he was a little drunk so was very difficult.

Cheryl
and Rowan arrived to join me on the sunset horse riding tour. We were collected
and taken outside of Mendoza to a farm. The landscape here was very different.
It was dry with lots of shrubs and rocks all over. We went inside and played
ping pong and sat around the pool drinking wine while we waited for the other
group to return with the horses.

We
went riding for a while and I think my horse loved the one in front of him as
he refused to pass her no matter what I did. The ride was fun and we watched
the sunset and then made out way back to the farm. The ride was rather slow
with a slight gallop every now and then but otherwise was a very slow easy
walk.

At
farm met up with other group and got chatting before we enjoyed a massive
asado. We had meat, more meat, salad, roasted vegetables, potatoes and some
more meat (definitely my kind of meal). Needless to say there was also plenty
of wine!

Back
at the hostel we enjoyed a few beers before calling it a night.
