It was another slow morning and got the day going around lunchtime and made our way to Teotihuacan. This involved metros and a bus but was well worth it. The site used to be a city with the two main pyramids being for the sun and the moon. We walked around amongst the masses of local tourists (and the odd foreigner). It's so good to see locals enjoying their heritage and being encouraged by the government by making it free on certain days and today was one of them.

After climbing the sun temple with over 200 steps we made our way to the smaller moon temple but unfortunately they were closing the site so we couldn’t go up. We did manage to appreciate the view of the temple without people all over it which was good.

We made our way to catch a bus back to the city only to be in a line (which seems to be a national sport in Mexico) waiting for the bus so Olivier grabbed us some beers to quench our thirst.

On the bus we enjoyed a beer before having a nap and making the long metro trip back to the house. On the way we stopped for some tacos but had a nice quiet night at the house where I tried to plan some of my trip and figure out what I'm doing for new year.
