It was an early start to the day and caught an Uber to Evie's house. We chatted while her sister got her things together and before long we were on our way. It was rather early but there was already traffic. When we got out of the city we stopped for some coffee and a car decided to reverse into me which got the Latina in Evie riled up but all was ok. We got our drinks and joined Dani in the car to continue our journey.

The trip went well as we were talking non-stop and before we knew it we stopped at a little place in the middle of nowhere for barbacoa tacos with blue tortilla (lamb cooked in a pit in the ground and wrapped in agave leaves). It was delicious and have been so happy with the Mexican food!

We continued back to the car to hit the road where Evie fell asleep while Dani and I continued talking all the way to San Luis Potosi. Once in town Dani gave us some pointers for around town before dropping us at the hostel where I checked in and we took a walk to a bar that Dani suggested. Here we sat on the roof enjoying some drinks and chatting before it rained a little. After the rain we walked around the various plazas and enjoyed the old buildings and cobbled roads. I love the feeling of this place. It has a nice pueblo feel.

In the evening Dani joined us for dinner where we enjoyed some baby pork tacos, quesadillas Patosi and a few other local favourites. Have I said that I’m loving the food?! After dinner I went back to the hostel for a beer and to update my blog a little.
